Questions fréquentes
Is this the official CELPIP LS test?
No. This is an independent practice course. All clips, questions and model answers are original. For official samples, use the free practice tests on the CELPIP website.
What does the certificate of completion show?
It shows that you finished this course and scored at least 80% on its final assessment. It is not a CELPIP result or level, and it cannot be used as proof of language ability for citizenship, immigration, work or school.
How does the listening practice work?
Press play and your device reads the script aloud in a Canadian English voice. Listen once, like the real test. The script appears after you answer, and if your device cannot play speech you can open the script and read it.
How can I practise Speaking with this course?
The quizzes test what makes a strong answer, and the lessons give model answers and exercises. To practise speaking, set a timer for the real task times, record yourself on your phone and check your answer against the four rating dimensions.
Do I need the LS test or the full CELPIP-General test?
The CELPIP website says the LS test is for the citizenship language requirement and the full four-skill CELPIP-General test is used for permanent residence. Check the Government of Canada requirements for your own application before you book.
What CELPIP results do I need for citizenship?
Applicants aged 18 to 54 must show CLB level 4 or higher in speaking and listening. The CELPIP website lines up CELPIP level 4 with CLB 4, and the Government of Canada page for CELPIP-General tests taken on or after April 1, 2014 asks for 4 or higher in listening and speaking.
L’attestation est-elle accréditée ou reconnue officiellement ?
Non.
