Security Guard Branching Scenarios
Practise real decisions a security guard makes: a shoplifter, a trespasser who will not leave, a medical emergency, a fire alarm, an intoxicated patron. Choose what to do at each step, see why, and find out how your shift ends. Free, written from each country's law and official training material.

How the scenarios work
Each choice is scored: best practice, acceptable or unsafe or not allowed. Your score and ending show how well you followed the law, safety and your duty to observe and report. Try again to find the best path. For the exam itself, take the security guard practice tests and security courses.
Frequently asked questions
What is a branching scenario?
A short story where you play the security guard. At each step you choose what to do, see why it was a good or poor choice, and the story continues from your choice. Different choices lead to different endings.
Are the scenarios based on the law?
Yes. Each one is written from the law and official guidance for its country, province or state (for example arrest and trespass laws and official security training manuals), listed under Sources on the scenario page. They are study material, not legal advice, and your employer's policies and post orders also apply.
Do I need an account?
No. The scenarios are free. Your best result is saved only in your browser.
