Frequently asked questions

Is this the official TOEFL iBT test?

No. This is an independent practice course. All passages, recordings and questions are original and only copy the task types. For official practice, use the preparation materials on the ETS website.

Does this course follow the new 2026 TOEFL iBT format?

Yes. It covers the task types ETS lists for the updated test, such as Complete the Words, Build a Sentence, Listen and Repeat and Take an Interview, and the 1–6 score scale.

What does the certificate of completion show?

It shows that you finished this course and scored at least 80% on its final assessment. It is not a TOEFL score and cannot be sent to schools or used as proof of English.

Can my practice score tell me my TOEFL band?

No. Official bands come from ETS's own scoring of the real adaptive test. Practice scores here are feedback only.

How long is the final assessment?

It has 35 questions in 35 minutes, drawn at random from all five topics, so every attempt is different. Listening questions play audio.

How is the overall TOEFL iBT score calculated?

ETS averages your four section scores and rounds to the nearest half band. For example, section scores averaging 5.25 give an overall score of 5.5.

Is the certificate accredited or officially recognised?

No. It is a private certificate of completion for knowledge only. It is not recognised, accredited or approved by any government, licensing body, regulator or educational institution, and it does not replace any licence, certification or training required by law.
