Co warto wiedzieć przed egzaminem
- Under Article 8 of the Framework Directive 89/391/EEC, employers must take the necessary measures for first aid, fire-fighting and evacuation, adapted to the nature of the activities and the size of the business, and designate workers to carry them out.
- In a serious, imminent and unavoidable danger, workers must be able to stop work and leave for a place of safety, and may not be placed at a disadvantage for doing so.
- Emergency doors must open outwards and must not be locked; sliding or revolving doors are not permitted as dedicated emergency exits.
- Under Directive 92/58/EEC, emergency escape and first-aid signs show a white pictogram on a green background, and fire-fighting equipment signs show a white pictogram on a red background.
- The acoustic signal for evacuation must be continuous.
- 112 is available everywhere in the EU, free of charge, from fixed and mobile phones, and works alongside national emergency numbers.
- Under the European standard EN 3, portable fire extinguishers have a red body; UK fire and rescue service guidance says a zone of colour of 5% of the body shows the extinguishing agent.
Najczęściej zadawane pytania
Is this a first aid or fire warden qualification?
No. When you pass the final assessment you get a PassEveryTest Certificate of Completion, which shows you finished this general awareness course. It is not an accredited qualification, a first aid certificate or a legally required training certificate. Designated first-aiders and fire-fighting staff need the training set by national law and their employer.
Does this course cover the rules in my country?
It covers the EU minimum rules that apply in every Member State. Each country puts these into its own national law and can set stricter or more detailed rules, for example on the number of first-aiders or how accidents are reported. Always check your national rules and your workplace emergency plan.
How does the final assessment work?
It has 30 questions drawn at random from the course question bank, with a 35-minute time limit. You need 80% to pass, and each attempt gives you a new mix of questions.
What number do I call in an emergency in the EU?
Call 112. It is free and works everywhere in the EU from fixed and mobile phones. Many countries also keep their own national emergency numbers.
Will this course teach me how to do CPR?
No. First aid is covered at awareness level only. To learn CPR and other first aid skills, take a practical first aid course with a recognised trainer. In an emergency, call 112 and follow the dispatcher's instructions.
Czy zaświadczenie jest akredytowane lub oficjalnie uznawane?
