Bra att veta före provet
- The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) has six levels in three groups: Basic User (A1 and A2), Independent User (B1 and B2) and Proficient User (C1 and C2).
- A1 is the first CEFR level. A learner at A1 can use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases, introduce themselves and others, and ask and answer simple questions about personal details, such as where someone lives, people they know and things they have. They can talk in a simple way if the other person speaks slowly and clearly and is ready to help.
- The CELI certificates of Italian are run by the CVCL, a centre of the Università per Stranieri di Perugia. The general CELI exams cover the CEFR levels from A1 to C2, and CELI certificates do not expire.
- The CVCL also offers CELI exams for adult immigrants (levels A1 to B1) and for teenagers aged 12 to 18 (levels A2 to B2).
- PLIDA is the Società Dante Alighieri's certification of Italian as a foreign language. Its exams for adults go up to level C2, and PLIDA Juniores, for young people aged 13 to 18, has levels A1, A2, B1 and B2.
Vanliga frågor
Which plan should I choose: 7, 10, 15 or 30 days?
All four plans have the same 30 units and the same questions. Only the amount you study each day changes: about 4 or 5 units a day in 7 days, 3 units a day in 10 days, 2 units a day in 15 days, or 1 unit a day in 30 days. Choose the plan that fits your free time.
Do I need to know any Italian before I start?
No. The course starts with the alphabet and greetings. The instructions and explanations are in English, and the examples are in standard Italian.
What level will I reach?
The course teaches the basics of level A1 of the CEFR: everyday phrases, simple questions and short conversations about familiar topics, when people speak slowly and clearly.
Is this an official language certificate?
No. This course does not give an official language level or certificate. Official Italian certificates, such as CELI (Università per Stranieri di Perugia) and PLIDA (Società Dante Alighieri), are exams you take at an exam centre.
How does listening work?
Your device reads the Italian phrases and listening scripts aloud with its text-to-speech voice. Turn on your sound. If your device has no Italian voice, you can add one in its language settings. After you answer a listening question, you can read the script.
What should I do next?
Review the units where you made mistakes and say the phrases aloud every day. Then keep going with more listening and reading in Italian and move on to an A2 course. If you need a certificate, look at the A1 or A2 exams of an official Italian certificate.
Är intyget ackrediterat eller officiellt erkänt?
Nej. Det är ett privat kursintyg, bara för dina kunskaper. Det är inte erkänt, ackrediterat eller godkänt av någon myndighet, tillståndsmyndighet, tillsynsmyndighet eller utbildningsinstitution, och det ersätter inte någon licens, certifiering eller utbildning som krävs enligt lag.
