Veelgestelde vragen
Do I need a certificate to be a flagger in Nunavut?
The OHS Regulations require your employer to train you as a designated signaller and keep a record. Under the WSCC code, the employer or trainer signs a TCP training card that is valid for one year. This course does not give you that card.
Who enforces traffic control safety rules in Nunavut?
The Workers' Safety and Compensation Commission (WSCC), which serves Nunavut and the Northwest Territories, enforces the Safety Act and OHS Regulations.
Is there a sign-spacing table for Nunavut work zones?
The WSCC code does not give one. Sign types and locations are set in the written traffic control plan that section 139 requires for each site.
What should I do if my radio fails?
Do not change your paddle. Repeat the message and check the radio. Once failure is confirmed, follow the code's steps so traffic from both directions never moves at the same time.
