Questions fréquentes
Do I need a license to be a security guard in the US?
In most states, yes. The BLS says most states require guards to be licensed by the state where they work. Check your own state's regulator for the exact rules.
Does this course count as my state's guard training?
No. Only training from a provider your state approves counts. For example, California's guard card is issued by BSIS after approved Power to Arrest training, and Florida's Class D license needs 40 hours at a licensed school. This course is background knowledge only.
Can I use my guard license in another state?
Each state runs its own licensing system with its own rules. Before you work in a new state, check with that state's regulator what you need.
What extra steps are needed to work as an armed guard?
Armed work needs a separate permit or license and firearms training, such as a Class G license in Florida, a 47-hour course in New York or Level III training in Texas.
L’attestation est-elle accréditée ou reconnue officiellement ?
