Preguntas frecuentes

Do I need a special licence to drive for deliveries?

You need a valid driver's licence for the vehicle you drive. In Alberta, for example, a Class 5 licence covers most cars, vans and 2-axle trucks; larger vehicles or air brakes need other classes or endorsements. This course does not replace driver training or licensing.

Is my personal car insurance enough for delivery work?

Not always. Tell your insurer how you use the vehicle. In B.C., ICBC has a delivery rate class, and being in the wrong class can leave you personally responsible for the cost of claims.

Can I use my phone's map app while I drive?

Only within provincial rules. In Ontario a phone must be securely mounted, and you may only touch it to make, answer or end a call. In Alberta a GPS must be fixed to the vehicle and set up before you drive, or used by voice. Pull over and park somewhere safe to type or check the app.

What should I do if I am robbed on a delivery?

Do what the robber asks, do not resist and do not chase them. Get to safety, call 911 and report it to your employer.
