- When you approach a stopped emergency vehicle or tow truck with flashing lights, slow down and pass with caution. If there are two or more lanes your way, move into a lane away from it if it is safe.

Frequently asked questions
Is this the official G1 test?
No. These are practice questions written from the Official MTO Driver's Handbook. The real G1 knowledge test is taken at a DriveTest centre.
Do I have to stop for a school bus on the other side of the road?
Yes, if there is no median. In Ontario you must stop for a school bus with flashing red lights or its stop arm out from both directions. Only on a road with a median strip does oncoming traffic not have to stop.
What should I do at a pedestrian crossover?
Stop and yield the whole roadway. Wait until the pedestrian has crossed and is safely on the sidewalk before you drive on.
Who goes first at a four-way stop?
The first vehicle to come to a complete stop. If two vehicles stop at the same time, the one on the left lets the one on the right go first.
