Cada tentativa escolhe ao acaso 35 perguntas de todas as 97 perguntas deste teste, por isso nenhuma tentativa é igual.
O exame oficial tem estas partes:
- One test of 35 questions in 90 minutes, covering three strands:
- Nature of science – 10–25%
- Scientific inquiry skills – 60–85%
- Science, technology, society and environment – 5–15%
