Co warto wiedzieć przed egzaminem
- In Alberta, every supervisor must advise workers of all known or reasonably foreseeable hazards in their work area and report unsafe acts or conditions to the employer.
- In Alberta, a shift over 5 hours needs a 30-minute break, and a shift of 10 hours or more needs two. A break must be paid if the employer restricts what the worker can do.
- Alberta overtime is all hours over 8 a day or 44 a week, whichever is greater, paid at least 1.5 times the regular wage.
- Ontario overtime starts after 44 hours in a work week, and there is no daily overtime by default.
- In federally regulated workplaces, employers must give a written schedule at least 96 hours ahead and 24 hours' written notice of a shift change, except in certain urgent situations.
- In Alberta, harassment can be a single incident or repeated incidents, but reasonable conduct by a supervisor in managing workers is not harassment.
- CCOHS says the purpose of an incident investigation is to find the facts that lead to corrective action, not to find fault.
- CCOHS describes safety talks as short meetings of about 5 minutes and advises keeping a record of the topic, worker feedback and attendance.
