Cosa sapere prima del test
- The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) calls levels A1 and A2 “basic user” levels.
- At CEFR level A1, a learner can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases, introduce themselves and others, and ask and answer simple questions about personal details, such as where they live, people they know and things they have. They can interact in a simple way if the other person talks slowly and clearly and is ready to help.
- Sweden’s municipal adult education in Swedish for immigrants (SFI) teaches basic Swedish for everyday life, society, studies and work. It is free. You can start from 1 July of the year you turn 16 if you live in Sweden and do not yet have basic Swedish.
- SFI has four courses, A, B, C and D, which get harder step by step. Learners start at a course that fits their background, and D is the last SFI course. Courses are graded Pass or Fail.
- 112 is the emergency number everywhere in the European Union, including Sweden. It is free and works from fixed and mobile phones.
- The Swedish Police say: call 112 for urgent help from the police, and call 114 14 for all other police matters. The 114 14 line is open all day, every day, with staff who speak Swedish and English.
Domande frequenti
Which plan should I choose: 7, 10, 15 or 30 days?
All four plans have the same 30 units and the same questions. Only the daily load changes: about 4–5 units a day in 7 days, 3 a day in 10 days, 2 a day in 15 days, and 1 a day in 30 days. Choose the plan that fits the time you have each day.
What level will I reach?
The course covers the basics of level A1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR): everyday phrases, simple questions and answers, and short conversations when people speak slowly and clearly.
Is this an official Swedish certificate?
No. This is an independent practice course. It is not an official language exam or an SFI course, and it is not connected to the Swedish government or any testing body. If you need proof of your Swedish, take an official course or exam.
How do the listening questions work?
Press the play button and your device reads the Swedish text aloud with a computer voice. You can play it again. After you answer, you can read the text.
Which Swedish does the course teach?
Standard Swedish as it is spoken in Sweden. Swedish is also spoken in parts of Finland, where some words and sounds are a little different. All instructions and explanations are in English.
What should I do after this course?
Keep practising every day: review the units, read and listen to simple Swedish, and speak with other people. Then move on to level A2. If you live in Sweden, you may be able to study Swedish for free in SFI.
L’attestato è accreditato o riconosciuto ufficialmente?

Non è riconosciuto, accreditato né approvato da alcun governo, ente di rilascio delle licenze, autorità di regolamentazione o istituto di istruzione e non sostituisce alcuna licenza, certificazione o formazione richiesta dalla legge.
