Prueba temática 1: Cloud concepts: models, pricing and service types
-
Pregunta 1 de 20
Ver respuesta
Respuesta: B. Delivering computing services over the internet
Cloud computing is the delivery of computing services, such as virtual machines, storage, databases and networking, over the internet.
-
Pregunta 2 de 20
Ver respuesta
Respuesta: D. An email and calendar service that staff simply sign in to
SaaS is a complete, ready-to-use application. Email, messaging and productivity apps are common SaaS examples.
-
Pregunta 3 de 20
Ver respuesta
Respuesta: C. A third-party provider runs it, and anyone can buy its services
A public cloud is built, controlled and maintained by a third-party provider. Its general availability to anyone who wants to buy services is the key difference from a private cloud.
-
Pregunta 4 de 20
Ver respuesta
Respuesta: B. One organization uses it, with more control but higher cost
A private cloud is used by a single organization. It gives more control, but it costs more and you buy and maintain the hardware.
-
Pregunta 5 de 20
Ver respuesta
Respuesta: D. As an operational expense (OpEx)
You pay for cloud services as you use them, so cloud computing is an operational expense. CapEx is up-front spending on physical things such as servers.
-
Pregunta 6 de 20
Ver respuesta
Respuesta: C. You can release resources when demand drops and stop paying for them
In the consumption-based model you pay only for what you use. You can add resources when demand rises and release them when it drops.
-
Pregunta 7 de 20
Ver respuesta
Respuesta: D. In the service's SLA
Azure's uptime guarantees depend on the service and are part of its service-level agreement (SLA).
-
Pregunta 8 de 20
Ver respuesta
Respuesta: A. Vertical scaling (scaling up)
Vertical scaling changes the size of a resource, such as adding CPUs or RAM to a VM. Horizontal scaling changes the number of resources.
-
Pregunta 9 de 20
Ver respuesta
Respuesta: B. Horizontal scaling: out, then back in
Horizontal scaling adds or removes resources, such as VMs. Adding them is scaling out; removing them is scaling in.
-
Pregunta 10 de 20
Ver respuesta
Respuesta: C. The physical datacentre, network and hosts
The provider is always responsible for the physical datacentre, physical network and physical hosts. Your data, devices, accounts and identities always stay with you.
-
Pregunta 11 de 20
Ver respuesta
Respuesta: D. The information and data stored in the cloud
You are always responsible for your data, the devices allowed to connect, and your accounts and identities. Physical items belong to the provider.
-
Pregunta 12 de 20
Ver respuesta
Respuesta: C. Infrastructure as a service (IaaS)
IaaS puts the most responsibility on the customer, SaaS puts most of it on the provider, and PaaS sits in the middle.
-
Pregunta 13 de 20
Ver respuesta
Respuesta: C. Hybrid cloud
A hybrid cloud connects public and private clouds. A private cloud can surge into the public cloud for temporary extra demand.
-
Pregunta 14 de 20
Ver respuesta
Respuesta: B. Multicloud
In a multicloud scenario you use two or more public cloud providers and manage resources and security in each.
-
Pregunta 15 de 20
Ver respuesta
Respuesta: C. IaaS
Lift-and-shift migration is a common IaaS scenario: you set up cloud resources like your on-premises servers and move the workloads.
-
Pregunta 16 de 20
Ver respuesta
Respuesta: D. Platform as a service (PaaS)
In PaaS the provider maintains the operating systems, middleware and development tools, so you don't license or patch the OS or database.
-
Pregunta 17 de 20
Ver respuesta
Respuesta: A. A system's ability to recover from failures and keep working
Reliability is the ability of a system to recover from failures and continue to function. It is a pillar of the Azure Well-Architected Framework.
-
Pregunta 18 de 20
Ver respuesta
Respuesta: B. An event runs your code and you don't maintain any VMs
Azure Functions is event-driven and serverless. You don't maintain VMs or containers, and Azure charges only for the CPU time used while the function runs.
-
Pregunta 19 de 20
Ver respuesta
Respuesta: A. Reservations
With reservations you commit to specific resources, such as VMs, databases or storage, for one or three years to reduce cost.
-
Pregunta 20 de 20
Ver respuesta
Respuesta: D. Spot Virtual Machines
Spot pricing uses unused Azure capacity at lower prices, but Azure can evict the VM when it needs the capacity back, so it suits work that can be interrupted.

El examen real: 700 or greater (scale of 1 to 1,000)
Qué debes saber antes del examen
- AZ-900 measures three skill areas: describe cloud concepts (25–30%), describe Azure architecture and services (35–40%), and describe Azure management and governance (30–35%).
- Passing the exam earns the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification, a beginner-level certification.
- You have 45 minutes to complete the exam. It is proctored and may include interactive components.
- Scores are reported on a scale of 1 to 1,000, and you need 700 or greater to pass. Because the score is scaled, 700 may not equal 70% of the points.
- There is no penalty for guessing, and some questions may be unscored, so answer every question.
- If the exam isn't offered in your preferred language, you can request an additional 30 minutes.
- The exam price is based on the country or region where it is proctored.
- Fundamentals certifications do not expire.
Preguntas frecuentes
Is this the official AZ-900 exam?
No. This is an independent practice course. It is not run or endorsed by Microsoft, and your scores here are not AZ-900 results.
What does the certificate from this course show?
The certificate of completion shows that you finished this practice course and scored at least 80% on its final assessment. It is not the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification and not an official result, so employers will not accept it in its place.
How many questions are on the real AZ-900 exam?
Microsoft's exam pages don't list a fixed number of questions. They say you have 45 minutes and that the exam may include interactive components. Microsoft's free exam sandbox shows how the exam looks.
Why is the pass mark 80% here when AZ-900 needs 700?
AZ-900 uses a scaled score from 1 to 1,000, and 700 may not equal 70% of the points. We set a higher bar so that a pass here is a good sign you are ready.
Does the Azure Fundamentals certification expire?
No. Microsoft says Fundamentals certifications do not expire, unlike associate, expert and specialty certifications, which you renew each year.
Where do I book the real exam?
Start on the AZ-900 exam page on Microsoft Learn and schedule through Pearson VUE. Students and educators can also schedule through Certiport. Microsoft recommends registering with a personal Microsoft account.
