What to know before the test

  • Class LF covers forklift trucks with a mast and an elevating load carriage with fork arms or another attachment. Order-picking forklifts need class LO instead.
  • You must be at least 18 years of age to get a high risk work licence.
  • Training must be provided by a registered training organisation, and you are assessed by an accredited assessor using the national assessment instrument for that class.
  • Competence in TLILIC0003 does not by itself give you a licence. You must apply to the regulator.
  • In NSW you must apply within 60 days of the date your Notice of Satisfactory Assessment is issued.
  • A high risk work licence is valid for five years and must then be renewed.
  • Trainees may operate without a licence only while training under the supervision of a licence holder.
