Wat je moet weten voor het examen
- The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) has six levels: A1 and A2 (basic user), B1 and B2 (independent user), and C1 and C2 (proficient user).
- At CEFR level A1, a learner can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases, introduce themselves and others, and ask and answer simple questions about personal details, such as where they live, people they know and things they have. They can interact in a simple way if the other person talks slowly and clearly and is ready to help.
- Poland’s state certificate exams in Polish as a foreign language are held at six levels, A1 to C2, for adults, and at levels A1 to B2 in a version for children and young people. The State Commission for the Certification of Proficiency in Polish as a Foreign Language publishes information about these exams.
- The certificate in Polish as a foreign language is the only state document that confirms knowledge of Polish. The exam has a written part and an oral part.
- 112 is the European emergency number. It is available everywhere in the EU, free of charge, from fixed and mobile phones.
- In Poland, the emergency numbers 112 and 997 (the police emergency number) work 24 hours a day.
Veelgestelde vragen
Which plan should I choose: 7, 10, 15 or 30 days?
All four plans have the same 30 units and the same questions. Only the daily load changes: about 4–5 units a day in 7 days, 3 a day in 10 days, 2 a day in 15 days, and 1 a day in 30 days. Choose the plan that fits the time you have each day.
What level will I reach?
The course covers the basics of level A1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR): everyday phrases, simple questions and answers, and short conversations when people speak slowly and clearly.
Is this an official Polish certificate?
No. This is an independent practice course. It is not an official language exam and is not connected to the State Commission for the Certification of Proficiency in Polish as a Foreign Language or any other testing body. If you need proof of your Polish, take the official state certificate exam.
How do the listening questions work?
Press the play button and your device reads the Polish text aloud with a computer voice. You can play it again. After you answer, you can read the text.
Do I need to know any Polish before I start?
No. The course starts with the alphabet and the sounds of Polish. All instructions and explanations are in English.
What should I do after this course?
Keep practising every day: review the units, read and listen to simple Polish, and speak with other people. Then move on to level A2, or take an official A1 exam if you need a certificate.
Is het certificaat geaccrediteerd of officieel erkend?
Nee.
