What to know before the test
- You can get a traffic education learner license at 14½ if you are enrolled in an approved course. Without traffic education the minimum age is 16.
- Drivers under 18 must hold the learner license for six months and log at least 50 hours of supervised driving, including 10 at night.
- Your first license needs a vision test, a written test and a road test. The license receipt is valid for one year and gives you three attempts.
