Veelgestelde vragen
Do I need a certificate to be a flagger in Nova Scotia?
Yes. The Manual defines a Traffic Control Person as someone qualified and accredited by the Provincial Traffic Authority. The training is a Department of Public Works program delivered by approved trainers. This course does not give you that certificate.
What class of safety vest does a Nova Scotia TCP wear?
The province's FAQ says the label should show CSA Z96, Fluorescent, Level 2, and Class 2 or 3. A Class 2 top worn with Class 3 pants must meet Class 3 as a whole outfit.
Who can I ask about a lost or damaged TCP certificate?
The Department of Public Works handles TCP and Temporary Workplace Signer certificate questions. Its contact details are on the province's traffic control manual page.
Can a security guard direct traffic in a parking lot?
Directing vehicles inside a private lot is different from controlling traffic on a public road. On a road, only an accredited TCP working under the Road Owner's authority should control traffic. Follow your post orders and never step onto a public road to direct traffic without that authority.
Is het certificaat geaccrediteerd of officieel erkend?
Nee.
